🇵🇪 Peru has my heart ❤️

We had our first thunderstorm the other day. I was sitting at a vista point overlooking the city when thunder started up. The feeling of overlooking the city when something so powerful was going on around you was truly unexplainable. It's hard to put it into words but it really made me look at Peru. It made me see a shoe shiner trying to make a wage, an artist selling paintings, a child being carried on its mothers back, and workers doing their best to live. Not survive but honestly live a life worth living to them. The community isn't formated for someone to live so that they may work but work so that they may live (yes, clique line but it works). I am loving my time in Peru. I have been mostly doing physical therapy but being able to hear everyone's story is a major highlight of this trip. Most of the older generation I work with speak Quechuan and it has been a learning curve but I'm slowing making it.

Being in Peru showed me that I should have a sangria at the end of the day and go out with my friends. Im beyond grateful to have this opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest. I'm enjoying the slow weekends where I read and get ready for the week but I'm also loving finding the best cappuccino and discovering the little holes in the wall. I'm spending many moments learning German from my roomate and listening to Culcha Candela. I have been eating amazing food and meeting wonderful people. I get to work with the coolest people and get to spend time in a beautiful country. I'm loving this adventure so far and so thankful to Maximo Nivel for this opportunity :)
